Dissociated diet. What is it and how to do it.

Fit smiling woman with fruit

The dissociated diet is known as the diet which doesn’t make you feel hungry, and it’s true but with some exceptions, because you can eat whatever you want but without mixing the food categories. The combination of different food categories becomes fat because the digestive system can’t assimilate the food groups together, that is why it is recommended to eat them separately in order to increase the speed of weight loss.

According to the dissociated diet food is divided in three categories:

  • Proteins: red meat, white meat, hunting, nuts, fish and milk products.
  • Carbohydrate: bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and legumes.
  • Fruit: oranges, lemons, kiwis, strawberries, apples, watermelon, pineapple, tangerines…
  • Neutral food: meats and raw or smocked fish, vegetal oils, butter, vegetables and milk.

How to combine food.

  • Fruit doesn’t combine well with other groups, you have to eat it separately. Eat it during the mid-morning or the afternoon snack.
  • Nuts mustn’t be eaten with other food.
  • The carbohydrates can’t be mixed with each other.
  • Fat and carbohydrate mustn’t be mixed together.
  • Legues and vegetables can be mixed perfectly.
  • Carbohydrates (pasta, rice, legumes…) with proteins (meat, fish, milk…) don’t go well together so don¡t eat them at the same time.
  • Forget sugar and replace it with sweetener.
  • Eliminate soft-drinks and alcohol.
